“One of my favorite places in Detroit is the Boston-Edison Historic District. It’s a unique neighborhood filled with beautiful homes ranging from styles such as Tudor Revival to Italian Renaissance. It’s home to the famous “Motown Mansion” and used to be the home to important Detroit figures such as Henry Ford, Joe Louis, and Berry Gordy.”

The Boston-Edison area was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1973 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. You can find it between Woodward and Linwood, with Chicago Blvd being the heart of the neighborhood. Take a walk, explore, and discover some beautiful homes on your next day off.
