Thoughts Post Movement Set – ADMN

I was able to catch up with each of the Road to Movement featured DJs (and a few surprise guests) after their Movement sets for a quick lightning round of a few questions. Photos by me!

ADMN

ADMN has been making waves in the Detroit music community, his label Infolines has several releases and has put on a series of parties – he opened up the Movement mainstage on Saturday and I was able to catch up with him for a few moments after his set – here are his thoughts:

detroit.dance: What does Movement mean to you?

ADMN: It is a benchmark for what Detroit techno has to offer, and it has been a pretty big part of my life. I’ve been attending since I was 15.

detroit.dance: How did it feel to kick off the return of the festival on Saturday and do it by opening the mainstage?

ADMN: It was surreal. It was a pretty big honor to be able to kick off the festival and get everyone while they’re fresh. Play on the same stage as Richie Hawtin. Big boy shit.

detroit.dance: What are you looking forward to the rest of the festival and afterwards?

ADMN: Goldie b2b LTJ Bukem, the Loco Dice afterparty, and pressing on with Infolines releases and continuing our party series this summer.

Stay tuned for the next several featured artists and their thoughts post-set!
