Thoughts Post Movement Set – DJ Seoul

I was able to catch up with each of the Road to Movement featured DJs (and a few surprise guests) after their Movement sets for a quick lightning round of a few questions. Photos by me!

DJ SEOUL

His set was filled with passion and surrounded by friends – a great treat in the VIP area of the festival. I got to catch up with him for a few moments after his Movement set, and these were his thoughts:

detroit.dance: What energized you during your set today?

DJ Seoul: Being back at Movement. Yesterday on opening day the energy was so amazing, Sara and I felt so much love from everywhere. You can tell that people have been missing this for years because the energy is on a whole different level. It was really easy to play music because everyone gave me so much of their own energy that I really didn’t have to do anything. It happened on its own.

detroit.dance: You’ve played on the big stages and today you played on the smaller VIP only stage – what do you like about each spot?

DJ Seoul: The big stage is great because you play for so many people, and that’s the idea is to be seen by as many people as possible. But the VIP stage was very exclusive and intimate and beautiful. It was really a perfect setting to be a part of Movement in this way outside of the craziness and be able to share this moment with my closest 1,000 friends and family.

detroit.dance: The Bang Tech 12 opening party on Friday at Bookie’s – how did that go? Do you already have ideas for next year?

DJ Seoul: It was the best one yet! As of a month ago, Sara and I sat down and started coming up with ideas for next year. It will be bigger and better and we are thinking of adding more room. We have a lot of new people involved in Bang Tech and we are so excited that it is growing and expanding, but it is all with close friends and it is so amazing.
